Nutrient Packed Broccoli
In a single stalk, you get 3g of protein. Eat a cup and you’re giving your body a hearty dose of calcium, manganese, potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron, plus vitamin A, C and K! Whoa! That is a power packed food! Plus it may reduce excess estrogen levels in the body due to its indole 3-carbinol content. Ingredients:
- 6 carrots; peels
- 1 large head of broccoli
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbs EVOO
- 3 tbs grated parmesan
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400
- Place tin foil on a baking sheet
- Peel and cut carrots how desired
- Cut broccoli and add to baking sheet
- Drizzle the EVOO on the vegetables
- Sprinkle the seasoning
- Place baking sheet in oven for 20 minutes
- Sprinkle with Parmesan
Serve with your favorite lean protein.
