Choosing Certainty in Times of Uncertainty

Is your well-being and joy a priority?

I find that many living on auto-pilot answer this question, “Yes, of course.” But then when life circumstances challenge that, the response is the typical auto-pilot, unconscious reaction based in fear. And it’s normal because most of society models this.

However, have you ever pondered other choices you have in choosing a different response to create a vibration of feeling better? In other words, have you ever consciously chosen a different response in order to make joy and your well-being a priority?

There is no better time to practice this than now, during this strange but purposeful time we are living in.

Purposeful?

Yes, purposeful. There is indeed a purpose to chaos and choosing certainty will remind you of this.

In my book, Heal.Peel. Grow.  I describe certainty as an inner knowing that you are the cause of your reality and that you have everything you need to get where you want to be already within you. It’s not positive thinking, it’s knowing. It takes you out of fear-based thoughts and aligns you with love and trust.

We often question our certainty when we feel we have lost control of the world outside of us. In reality, we never had control over that. Remembering this and refocusing inward on what you can do to transform into the person you want to become is a powerful first step.

Ask yourself:

  1. What do I want?
  2. Who do I want to be?
  3. What do I want to feel?
  4. What experiences will create that feeling?
  5. What can I do right now to begin creating that feeling?

When you get clear on these answers you will start to see opportunities, people and feel vibrations that match the answers everywhere. This will reaffirm certainty for you. The Universe responds to clarity, so you must be clear about what it is you do want and align with that to live in certainty. If your attitude is, “Well nothing has worked for me so far, but I’ll give it a try.” Then nothing will continue to work for you.

There is no doubt that it’s a challenging time to seek health care with children being out of school, and trying to make ends meet. But therein lies great opportunity to awaken to your power of compassion, gratitude, and creation. If you seek beauty, love, abundance and peace, you will find it, even in turmoil. But you must choose to make your well-being and joy a priority. You must choose clarity and certainty to see it. In so many ways, people in our country have come together, companies have shifted to make masks, donated money to a cause that is relevant to one of the many crises going on and our air pollution has decreased. People have woken up to compassion for others and the awareness of our true ability to help make this planet a better place. When we choose to see the joy and well-being that is already happening around us, we align with it immediately. Let that be your focus.

The next time uncertainty arises grab a notebook and ask yourself;

  1. What do I want?
  2. Who do I want to be through this difficulty?
  3. What do I want to feel?
  4. What character qualities and values do I want to enhance during this period?
  5. What experiences will create that feeling?
  6. Can I find little miracles each day?
  7. What can I do right now to begin creating that feeling?
  8. How can I help?
  9. How can I contribute?
  10. What gifts may I offer?

Watch what happens next. Feel the fear fade away and the vibration of joy roll into you. Focus on that everywhere you go.

It’s been 10 years since I’ve been in the health and wellness industry helping people live healthier lives. I started helping others where I started with myself; fitness. Then I earned my certificate in Health Coaching and focused on diet. In the midst of all this, I was having a quarter life crisis and what I call spiritual awakening and this brought me to integrate my emotional and spiritual self with the physical and mental.
