Everyday knowingly or unknowingly, in the form of affirmations, we give our subconscious mind instruction about who we are, what we can do or be, and what our life means. Affirmations confirm our beliefs. It is a way in which we create our own reality. It is a statement that asserts that something is true.

When you use an affirmation on a regular basis, it forms a neurological pathway that becomes more easily traveled through repetition. The more often you think a thought, the easier it becomes for that thought to take root in your mind and grow stronger. Eventually it seeps into your subconscious mind, from where all the details for manifestations get stored.
Affirmations are structured in a clear, direct and declarative way. They define the state of how you wish things to be with confidence and authority. They most frequently begin with the words “I am”. They are spoken in the present tense, as if something is true here and now. They are spoken in positive language.

- Pick an area of your life that you’re working on and form a statement following the above guidelines that is powerful, positive and purposeful.
- Pick a time that you will practice your affirmation without distractions.
- Think about the feelings of the words and allow the feelings to come into the body as you repeat the affirmation.
- At the end, have gratitude for the ability to be a conscious co-creator of your world.
- Consider using your affirmation throughout your day when necessary.
